We hope this update finds you well!

As many of you may have heard, Governor Brown has given the option for Dental offices to re-open for all treatment as of May 1st. There are many guidelines and rules that we are required to follow however, they have not been made clear at this time. We are waiting on more guidance from the Oregon Health Authority as well as our local and national associations.

In order to keep our patients and staff safe, we will continue to be available for emergency treatment as we wait for more clear guidelines. In the meantime, we will be preparing as much as possible with the information that we do have.

Our main priority is the safety of our patients, staff, and community. While we are anxious to get back to caring for each and every one of you, we want to have all new policies, safety features, and appropriate equipment in place. We assure you that we are working on this and we look forward to seeing you all soon!

Wisdom Teeth

White Molar tooth rendered on white backgroundWisdom teeth typically come in between the ages of 17-21. Since these are the last of the adult teeth that you will form, it is common for your mouth to be too crowded or for the wisdom teeth themselves to be in an odd position that makes it difficult for them to erupt.

In these cases, it might be necessary to have your wisdom teeth extracted. Other situations that require extraction include any type of disease or infection, pain, disease in the gums and chronic pain. It is important to talk to Dr. Ammon today about your wisdom teeth and whether they need extraction.
